About The Position
At Leona Group Schools, we believe great teachers change lives. We are seeking passionate high school teachers for our Summer School Program — a one-month accelerated learning opportunity during June focused on helping students strengthen skills, improve academic retention, and achieve academic success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Meet professional teacher education requirements of school and state
- Single subject teaching credential, certification or endorsement if teaching a specialized subject
- Relevant teaching experience
- Knowledge of relevant technology
- IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in an accelerated format
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
- Use instructional technology and effective teaching strategies to support learning
- Maintain a structured, respectful, and academically focused classroom
- Establish clear expectations and effective classroom management practices
- Encourage student engagement, responsibility, and perseverance
- Maintain accurate student records and attendance
- Collaborate with administrators and staff to support student success
- Uphold school policies and professional expectations
