About The Position

This is a temporary summer school position for internal applicants only. The role involves planning and delivering daily instruction using provided materials, developing and delivering an integrated enrichment hour, and progress monitoring student learning. The teacher will also be responsible for recording student attendance, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, and providing an engaging, nurturing, and safe learning environment. Participation in professional learning for the summer school curriculum is also required.

Requirements

• Hold or qualify for an Oregon teaching license through Teacher Standards and Practices Commission with an Elementary endorsement and authorization
• Be considered highly qualified by the Oregon Department of Education
• Current KCSD licensed employee

Responsibilities

• Plan daily instruction using the provided materials
• Develop, plan, and deliver integrated enrichment hour
• Progress monitor student learning
• Record student attendance
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and other staff
• Provide an engaging, nurturing and safe learning environment
