About The Position

Lowell Public Schools is seeking Summer School Interns for its Summer School Services program in 2026. This is a college intern position where interns will work as part of a grade-level instructional team, assisting teachers with classroom instruction, providing small group support in literacy, English language arts, and mathematics. Interns will also assist with breakfast and lunch duties, student arrival and dismissal, and perform other tasks as assigned. The employment dates are from July 6 to July 31, with 4 hours of work per day, typically in the mornings.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old
• Willing to complete CORI (criminal record check) and fingerprinting (if have not completed in the past)
• Some college required (do not need to have completed degree)

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in summer programs with youth
• Education or related major preferred
• Experience working with students with special needs
• Experience working with students learning English as their second language
• Bilingual candidates proficient in Khmer, Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish are encouraged to apply.
