About The Position

This position involves serving as a residential assistant during the residential week of the summer component, supervising UB participants, and communicating with participants to encourage the continuation of secondary and post-secondary studies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Previous experience working with disadvantaged students is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Tutor summer component Upward Bound participants as needed.
• Assist summer component teachers with providing supplemental and intense interventions to Upward Bound participants.
• Serve as residential assistants during the residential week of the summer component.
• Supervise UB participants during the summer component.
• Attend daily debriefing meetings with the residential group.
• Communicate with participants to encourage the continuation of secondary and post-secondary studies.
• Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
