AltaGas - Summer Relief Operator, Pipestone
About The Position
We are currently seeking a Summer Relief Operator to join our team at the Pipestone Facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in plant operations while working alongside a knowledgeable and supportive operations team. In this role, you will provide additional coverage and support to ensure that day-to-day operational activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in alignment with AltaGas standards. You will be exposed to a variety of field and plant activities, making this a great opportunity to build foundational skills, learn industry best practices, and develop your experience in a dynamic operating environment.
Requirements
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering certificate or working towards it
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- A positive attitude and desire to learn
Responsibilities
- Take Plant readings and perform equipment checks
- Safety equipment checks
- Assist Plant Operators in daily tasks such as locking out and purging equipment for maintenance, changing filters, and pigging pipelines.
- Assist with the safe work permitting for maintenance tasks.
- Assist with safe preparation and lockout of equipment for maintenance.
