About The Position
KeyBank Real Estate Capital (KBREC) is a leading provider of commercial, healthcare, and multifamily real estate finance, focusing on building long-term client relationships through creative financing solutions. The Institutional Capital Group (ICG) segment, affiliated with KBREC, specifically addresses the capital and banking needs of public and private REITs, real estate operating companies, real estate fund sponsors, and real estate private equity firms. ICG assists these institutional real estate entities in obtaining debt and equity financing through various means, including corporate credit facilities, syndicated finance, acquisition and bridge loans, permanent debt, public and private bonds, and public and private equity. This Summer internship program serves as a direct pipeline for full-time Analyst positions, offering interns the potential to return upon graduation to begin a career in Real Estate. The program is 10.5 weeks long, from May 26, 2027, to August 6, 2027, and provides meaningful work, feedback, coaching, networking opportunities, learning labs with speakers on various financial and professional development topics, and an assigned mentor.
Requirements
- Must have completed at least two years toward a four-year, undergraduate degree program with coursework in finance, real estate or a related field with an anticipated graduation in or before May of 2028
- Outstanding academic achievement (minimum undergraduate 3.3 GPA)

Responsibilities
- Researching economic conditions and market trends
- Developing strategic contact databases
- Neighborhood, industry, and prospective tenant research
- Field research and preparation of marketing materials
- Completing a Capstone Project leveraging learnings from the Internship
- Performing other duties as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the Real Estate Capital team
Benefits
- Hourly rate of $27 per hour
