About The Position

Village at Tuxedo Reserve is a new, ground-up town center in the Hudson Valley, designed as a vibrant, walkable destination featuring curated retail, dining, residential, and community spaces. Opening Fall 2026, VTR represents a rare opportunity to help launch an entirely new mixed-use development from inception to opening. Related Companies is seeking two highly motivated Summer Project Coordinators to support the retail and restaurant leasing and development efforts at VTR. This is a hands-on, field-based role offering direct exposure to real estate development, leasing, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Coordinators will operate with a high degree of autonomy, working closely with senior team members while taking ownership of outreach, research, and on-the-ground execution.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate sophomore with a target graduation date between December 2026- Spring 2028.
  • A strong passion for real estate development.
  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, construction management, and other related fields.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of technical skills and job specific knowledge.
  • Demonstrates clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Self-starter, demonstrates a proactive approach to tasks and challenges.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to new challenged in a dynamic environment.
  • Resume must include expected graduation month/year.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research prospective retail and restaurant tenants aligned with VTR’s vision.
  • Manage and update current database of Prospective T utilizing VTR’s custom AI Software platform.
  • Conduct market analysis to assess tenant viability and positioning utilizing relevant demographic, economic, and business trend research to support the growth of VTR.
  • Perform direct outreach via phone, email, and in-person visits to identify new tenant leads.
  • Pitch the VTR opportunity and schedule meetings with leasing leadership.
  • Travel and canvas throughout the Hudson Valley and Northern New Jersey to canvas and identify prospective tenants.
  • Conduct in-person visits and develop relationships with prospective tenants with appropriate follow-up.
  • Track outreach efforts and pipeline progress.
  • Assist in hosting tours of the VTR site for prospective tenants.
  • Communicate project vision, timeline, and leasing opportunities.
  • Gather feedback and provide insights into the leasing and development team.
  • Support residential leasing outreach and marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with community activation, sponsorship outreach, and event programming.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts, including social media and promotional materials.
