About The Position

This summer, Bayshore Home Care Solutions (Hamilton) is hiring Nursing Students to join us as Community Personal Support Workers (PSWs). This role is designed to strengthen clinical judgment, communication skills, and confidence in real-world care settings. Requirements

Current student in a BScN, RPN, LPN, or equivalent nursing program
Comfortable with the physical demands of community care
Valid driver’s license
Reliable personal vehicle
Willingness to travel between clients (up to ~40 minutes from first to last visit)
Current CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
Vulnerable Sector Check
Proof of negative TB test
Required immunizations for community healthcare settings

Nice To Haves

International Nursing Graduate, PSW certificate, or prior clinical placement considered an asset
Compassionate, reliable, and confident working independently
Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate assistance with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
Support safe mobility, transfers, and simple exercises based on client care plans
Assist with daily living tasks such as meal prep and light housekeeping
Observe, document, and report changes in client condition
Encourage client independence, comfort, dignity, and safety
Travel between client homes in the Hamilton & Burlington area
