About The Position

AquaSafe is seeking Summer Lifeguards to ensure the safety of patrons at local pools. This role offers a summer experience focused on professional and personal growth, serving as a perfect summer job for teens, students, college students, teachers, retirees, or anyone with free time during the summer. Lifeguards are responsible for preventing and responding to emergencies, enforcing pool rules, maintaining water chemicals, record keeping, and reporting unsafe conditions. While fun, the role requires seriousness as patron safety is paramount.

Requirements

Must be a minimum of 15 years old by the date of hire or the last day of the lifeguard course.
Must be able to work Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, and Labor Day weekend (Saturday, Sunday, Monday).
Must be able to work ALL WEEKENDS throughout the Summer (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
Must professionally conduct themselves and must be attentive and focused.
Must have a current Nationally Approved Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid Certificates or obtain them before the beginning of the season.

Nice To Haves

Experienced, motivated Lifeguards who demonstrate excellent customer service, organizational, and leadership skills may be considered as a Pool Manager, with the opportunity for more responsibility and higher pay.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety of patrons at an assigned aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies.
Enforce all pool rules fairly and consistently.
Ensure proper pool water chemicals.
Perform record keeping.
Maintain a clean and enjoyable aquatics facility.
Report any unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to their Supervisor.
