About The Position

This position utilizes lifeguard training skills to ensure the safety of patrons at our aquatic facilities by preventing and responding to emergencies. Must be available to work weekday mornings and participate in regular in-service trainings. We’re looking for committed, reliable individuals to join our energetic team of lifeguards.

Requirements

Must be 15 years of age or older
Must be available to work during morning and noon hours
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical skill evaluation
Must possess the following American Red Cross certifications at the time of employment: Lifeguard Training/First Aid/CPR/AED
First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (Title-22)
Certifications must be submitted if an interview is offered

Nice To Haves

Must be available for training dates (second Saturday of each month)

Responsibilities

Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency
Enforce all pool rules, policies, and regulations
Educate patrons and inform them of the purpose and need for rules and regulations
Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical service
Respond quickly to all emergency situations in the water or surrounding areas
Take an active role in maintaining a safe environment and take steps to prevent accidents by eliminating potentially hazardous conditions
Present professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard of customer service
Perform various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility
Complete incident & accident reports
Perform other duties as assigned
