2027 Summer Leadership Program (May 2027: 2-Day Program)
About The Position
The 2027 Summer Leadership Program at Yeo & Yeo is a two-day, hands-on experience designed for students interested in pursuing a career as a CPA. Held on May 11-12, 2027, at the Saginaw office, the program offers insights into the public accounting industry, highlights what makes Yeo & Yeo unique, and provides opportunities to enhance interviewing and networking skills. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of a day in the life at Yeo & Yeo by interacting with firm members from various levels, learn the distinctions between tax accounting and auditing, and actively engage in learning and development activities. The program also focuses on practicing interviewing techniques with feedback from recruiting experts, understanding Yeo & Yeo's community involvement, and helping students determine if public accounting is the right career path for them. Hotel accommodations for Tuesday evening (if needed), along with food and entertainment during networking events, will be provided.
Requirements
- Must have at least one (1) year of college experience
- Have a demonstrated interest in a career in public accounting, assurance, tax and consulting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Communicate effectively in a variety of professional situations
- Actively pursue learning and development opportunities
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Gain an understanding of a day in the life at Yeo & Yeo by meeting members of the firm from various levels
- Learn the differences between being a tax accountant and an auditor in today’s CPA firms
- Participate actively in all on-the-job and formal learning and development opportunities to understand role and responsibilities
- Practice interviewing techniques and receive feedback from recruiting experts
- Learn about Yeo & Yeo’s commitment to community involvement
