About The Position

PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 IT Intern - Data & Analytics team. This job involves working as a Data & Analytics intern supporting PSEG’s operational excellence by enabling employees to leverage analytics, data visualization, automation, and continuous process improvement. This position will be Hybrid Fixed.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related technical field and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
  • Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026.
  • Incumbent must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.
  • Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly
  • Detail oriented and demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, IT management and staff
  • Good communications, consultative and interpersonal skills, including oral, written and presentation
  • Incumbents are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship.
  • Targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed.
  • Must prove they are: (1) a citizen or national of the USA; OR (2) a lawful permanent resident of the United States (Non-Conditional Permanent I-551 / Green Card / Permanent Resident Card holder); OR (3) a citizen, national, or permanent resident of a “Generally Authorized” destination on the attached list not also a citizen, national, permanent resident of any country not listed; OR (4) a “Protected Individual” under the Immigration and Naturalization Act (8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3)).

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 GPA
  • Experience with Power BI and/or other data visualization software
  • Data Analysis Skills (e.g. ETL, Python, SQL)
  • Overall strong technical proficiency in information technology/computer disciplines

Responsibilities

  • Work with employees throughout the company to assist them in the design, creation, publishing, update and maintenance of business intelligence reports (e.g. in Power BI) or other data analysis tools (e.g Python, AWS).
  • Assistance to client may cover data Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL), data model creation, calculations (e.g. Power BI DAX), report creation, and publishing.
  • Assist as needed with data governance or automation governance.
