Summer 2027 Internship - Des Moines
About The Position
This summer internship program offers a comprehensive experiential learning opportunity within Lockton's Risk Solutions or People Solutions teams. Interns will be embedded within an account team, supporting day-to-day activities to deliver exceptional client service and account management. The program focuses on providing firsthand exposure to brokerage operations, understanding how Lockton delivers tailored risk and insurance solutions, and learning about carrier relationships. Interns will also support the preparation of client-facing materials and participate in client-focused projects and meetings. The program emphasizes coaching, collaboration, professional development through workshops, sessions with senior leadership, networking opportunities, and cultural immersion through social and volunteer events.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled college student scheduled to graduate Dec 2027 or May 2028
- Experience working in customer service and project management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship now or at any time in the future

- Preferred majors include insurance, risk management, marketing, finance, or any other business-related field
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day activities of a Lockton account team in Risk Solutions or People Solutions.
