About The Position

Weyerhaeuser is looking for an Summer 2027 Interns to work with maintenance and/or operational departments in a variety of roles in wood products manufacturing in Heaters, WV. Pay is competitive and is based on class standing and major. We are seeking driven, curious, and motivated students who are excited to gain meaningful, hands-on experience through a 2-3 month internship. This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in exploring both the technical and business sides of wood products manufacturing while developing leadership skills and making a real impact. As an intern, you'll receive a personalized development experience designed to expose you to a variety of projects across our mill operations. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful business objectives, and gain valuable insight into how our company operates. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to tackle real challenges while learning about product flow, manufacturing processes, quality management, safety culture, cross-functional teamwork, operational and financial performance, and the opportunities and challenges facing our industry. The skills and knowledge you build during your internship will help lay the foundation for your future career.

Requirements

  • Minimum Sophomore standing enrolled in an accredited college or university completing a Bachelor's degree (or higher)
  • Must commit to a 2-3-month internship
  • Technical writing capability
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment
  • Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills
  • High level of initiative and motivation
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Passion for safety
  • Strong work ethic and personal integrity
  • Positive attitude
  • Effective speaking and listening skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Resume detailing education and work history (required)
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Willingness to work in challenging environments (outdoor temperature)
  • Willingness to perform the essential job functions as required
