About The Position
This internship focuses on providing a hands-on experience in a Quality Control (QC) laboratory setting. The intern will support daily laboratory operations, including sample management, document organization, and assisting scientists with routine tasks. They will also contribute to special projects and gain exposure to quality control testing, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and related compliance requirements. The role offers an opportunity to learn about key lab functions such as sample handling, data review workflows, and metrology activities within a regulated environment.
Requirements
- Basic lab skills (pipetting, pH measurement, using balances).
- Foundational coursework in chemistry.
- Comfort with tools like Excel.
- Ability to follow SOPs.
- Familiarity with GMP/GLP concepts.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Pharmacy or Chemistry major.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day laboratory operations, including sample management, document organization and archiving, and assisting laboratory scientists with routine tasks.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned by management.
- Gain hands-on exposure to quality control testing in an analytical laboratory setting.
- Observe key lab functions such as sample handling, data review workflows, and metrology activities.
- Become familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and related compliance requirements.
