About The Position

Motiva's paid, assessed Internship Program is designed for currently enrolled students to gain exposure to the oil and gas industry and Motiva. The program offers day-to-day involvement in actual projects tailored to student interests and abilities, with guidance from a supervisor and mentor providing regular assessments and feedback. Successful completion may lead to returning internships or full-time roles, with automatic enrollment into Motiva’s Early Career Development 3-year program for post-graduation hires. Motiva is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and is involved in refining, distributing, and marketing petroleum products throughout the Americas. Its Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex includes North America's largest refinery, the largest base oil plant in the western hemisphere, and an integrated chemical plant. Motiva operates under brand licenses with Shell and Phillips 66, supplying over 12 billion gallons of fuel annually. The company is wholly owned by Aramco.

Requirements

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Pursuing a B.S. in IT related field
  • Basic computer skills, MS Windows, MS office and MS Excel
  • Basic computation and technical skills
  • Time management skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • The ability to learn new software as required for project assignments
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions in a logical manner
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee, asylee, temporary resident, or an individual who possesses valid work authorization.
  • Individuals with temporary visas (H-1, H-2, J-1, F-1, etc.) or who require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for hire.
