About The Position

Motiva's paid, assessed Internship Program is designed for currently enrolled students to gain exposure to the company and the oil and gas industry. Interns receive day-to-day involvement in actual projects tailored to their interests and abilities, with guidance from a supervisor and mentor who provide regular assessments and feedback. Successful completion of the internship may lead to an offer for a returning internship or a full-time role. Post-graduation hires are automatically enrolled in Motiva’s Early Career Development 3-year program. Motiva refines, distributes, and markets petroleum products throughout the Americas, with its Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex being North America’s largest refinery. The company operates under brand licenses with Shell and Phillips 66, supplying over 12 billion gallons of fuel annually, and is wholly owned by Aramco.

Requirements

3.0 cumulative GPA
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business admin degree
Basic computer skills, MS Windows, MS office and MS Excel
Basic computation and technical skills
Time management skills
Good communication skills, both written and oral
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee, asylee, temporary resident, or an individual who possesses valid work authorization.
Individuals with temporary visas (H-1, H-2, J-1, F-1, etc.) or who require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for hire.
Must be authorized to work in the United States for Motiva Enterprises LLC without the need for sponsorship of an immigration authorization or visa.

Perform key commercial tasks that support core operations.
Deliver exceptional performance while driving profit and shaping the business portfolio.
Experience a comprehensive introduction to the scope of Motiva’s financial workings.
Take part in financial modeling, valuations and analysis.
Provide finance input into commercial decisions.
Engage in risk management and internal control.
Learn about local and group accounting policies, standards and reporting.
Participate in planning, target setting and budgeting.
Be involved in performance management and appraisal.
Assess and evaluate commercial opportunities.
Support commercial investments and projects through in-depth research and analytics.
Optimize the clean products supply chain throughout the Motiva geography.
Design and implement new tools that will support and improve daily operations activity.
