About The Position
The Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals site in Indianapolis is home to a dedicated team producing high-performance tungsten alloys for industries that shape the future—from aerospace and defense to medical and industrial applications. Join a highly motivated team in Indianapolis, USA, where local expertise meets the global knowledge and values of the Plansee Group. This is an hourly position for a summer intern in the Engineering Department. The internship would focus on the planning, layout, execution, and data analysis of time studies in various areas of the production process. Documentation of the process and validation of existing documentation would be part of the project.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Related experience in a manufacturing or inspection environment
- Enthusiasm and independence to complete tasks without micromanagement
- Collegiate student looking to obtain job experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience inspecting product or working in a material lab

Responsibilities
- Review current documentation on process to be studied.
- Observe production of studied processes.
- Plan and execute plans to time each step of process being studied.
- Digitize and analyze the resulting time studies to be able to update ERP system.
