About The Position

Grassi is seeking motivated students for their Summer Internship Program in Audit or Tax. This 6-week program, running from June to August, offers interns Associate-level training and the opportunity to work on client engagements. Interns will participate in comprehensive training, professional education, team-building events, and networking opportunities with Grassi professionals. The program is designed to develop skills, build technical knowledge, and provide an understanding of the firm's practices, policies, and culture. Work is performed under close supervision.

Requirements

  • Junior or Senior students, graduating within the next 12 – 18 months with a bachelor’s or master's degree in accounting.
  • Master's degree or plan to complete 150 credit hours to become CPA licensed.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, initiative and leadership skills.
  • We do not sponsor or transfer work visas.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute Tax engagements.
  • Assist in preparing corporate, individual and partnership workpapers.
  • Focus on developing skills, building technical knowledge.
  • Deliver top-notch client service.
  • Align well with the firm’s practice, policies, and culture.
  • Prepare client deliverables that are clear, concise, thorough, and of professional quality for portions of partnership, individual and corporate tax returns.
  • Work effectively in team environment by building and maintaining rapport with fellow employees.
  • Proactively demonstrate a willingness to learn and attain greater knowledge on a continual basis and look to build technical skill base.
