About The Position

Maner Costerisan is seeking motivated individuals for their Summer Intern program in Audit/Tax/Accounting and Outsourced services. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to client engagements, mirroring the responsibilities of an entry-level staff member. The internship is full-time and runs from early June through the end of August, with opportunities available in either the Lansing or Grand Rapids office.

Requirements

Currently working towards Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
Excellent computer skills with knowledge and experience using Excel and Word.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Work in supervised client situations and be responsible for applicable audit, tax, or accounting services procedures.
Communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
Work with others cooperatively and with respect.
Accept responsibility for work and actions.
Prepare individual and business tax returns for detail review.
Review and understand prior year tax returns and work papers.
Understand and familiarize yourself with federal tax regulations.
Work with the audit team to complete audit engagements for a variety of clients.
Perform audit procedures including planning, testing, and reporting.
Review prior year work papers and financial statements.
Work with the Accounting and Outsourced team on a variety of client accounting projects.
Understand basic accounting principles.
