About The Position

The 2027 NBA Summer Internship is a 10-week program running from June 7 through August 13, 2027. It offers participants the opportunity to learn about the business of basketball, develop career skills, and contribute to projects across NBA departments and its affiliate leagues, the WNBA and G League. Interns receive on-the-job experience and may participate in professional development, community, and social programming. The program prioritizes rising seniors, with limited exceptions for graduate students based on business need. Business and Corporate Functions interns support areas critical to the operations of the NBA, WNBA, and G League. These may include Facilities and Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Security, Social Impact & Inclusion, and Social Responsibility. Work may involve project management, market research, analysis, forecasting and planning, event support, and communications. Interns help with league day-to-day operations, including internal and external events and projects. These roles require foundational mastery of AI technologies to support project execution and business objectives. The internship is intended for undergraduate students entering their senior year in the academic year following the internship. It is open to students in any major, though it is typically best suited to candidates studying Accounting, Business Administration, Communications, Digital Media, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Pre-Law, Psychology, Sociology, Strategy, or related fields.
