About The Position

CF Private Equity is seeking candidates for a 10-week internship position starting in the summer of 2027. The position would be within CF Private Equity’s Real Assets and Sustainability investment team, with consideration for converting the individual into a full-time employee upon graduation. This position is based in our Norwalk, CT office. CF Private Equity empowers sophisticated investors to diversify their portfolios with private investments by combining the scale of a leading global asset manager with the nimble flexibility of a focused boutique. They offer access to leading managers in buyouts, growth equity, venture capital, and real assets and sustainability strategies. Their global portfolios are constructed with a diversified mix of primaries, secondaries, and co-investments, focusing on smaller and growing companies backed by sector and geographic specialist general partners. They also provide direct investing opportunities through secondaries and co-investing programs. Their professional staff of 60 serves over 800 investors, including mission-based organizations and pension plans, and they have managed over $25.4 billion of private capital commitments since inception. The Real Assets & Sustainability (RAS) Team invests out of CF Private Equity’s Sustainability and Natural Resources programs, with over $3.5B raised since inception. The Sustainability programs aim to seek standalone private equity investment returns while reporting on measurable environmental benefits, focusing on companies, operating platforms, and other investments across sustainable themes like renewable energy, food/agriculture/water, and resource efficiency. The Natural Resources programs generally invest in energy, power generation, physical infrastructure, agriculture, mining, and related services.

Requirements

  • Summer 2027 rising seniors (current juniors) with a strong GPA expecting to graduate Summer 2028
  • 1+ years of relevant course work (Accounting, Finance, Business Management, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills, including use of Microsoft Office Excel for quantitative analysis
  • Ability to complete assignments independently and on a timely basis
  • Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish broader goals and objectives
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities
  • Strong professional interest in real assets, natural resources, and/or environmental sustainability
  • Interest in working in Connecticut

Responsibilities

  • Support the investment due diligence process by participating in investment diligence calls, gathering and synthesizing data and information for investment analysis, and assisting the team in preparing memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform comprehensive market research and analysis to identify and assess potential investment opportunities in the real assets & sustainability markets. Monitor industry news, research reports, and regulatory changes to provide valuable insights to the team.
  • Work closely with investment professionals and other CF Private Equity investment teams to support deal execution and investment decision-making. Collaborate with colleagues to share information, insights, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of investment transactions, documents, and correspondence.
