About The Position

AEW is seeking current undergraduate juniors for its Summer 2027 Internship Program. This is an immersive 8–10 week rotational experience designed to provide exposure to all facets of the commercial real estate (CRE) industry, with a primary focus on Asset Management. The program culminates in a team-based case study presentation. The program runs from late May to early August and includes orientation, onboarding, weekly programming, sector rotations, and a capstone case study presentation. Interns will engage with professionals across various AEW departments to understand all the disciplines and considerations necessary to complete an investment. This program is ideal for students with a foundational understanding of CRE, who are eager to deepen their knowledge and explore career paths within the industry.

Requirements

Current undergraduate juniors (graduating in 2028).
Strong analytical skills.
A proactive attitude.
Genuine curiosity about commercial real estate.
Available for interviews in late October to mid-November 2026.
Ability to submit application and resume no later than October 16, 2026.

Responsibilities

Support assigned teams with ad hoc projects, gaining exposure to asset management, underwriting, and acquisitions.
Participate in quantitative training sessions focused on financial and operational metrics relevant to each sector.
Gain hands-on experience with tools and platforms used by sector teams.
Participate in property tours, including on-site visits to assets in various stages of the investment lifecycle.
Participate in meetings and shadowing opportunities to understand day-to-day responsibilities within sector groups.
Collaborate in teams to prepare an investment memo for a potential acquisition, including market analysis, financial modeling, and strategic recommendations.
