About The Position
APV is looking for Summer Interns in our Ashland, VA location. The Summer Internship Program is designed to for high school students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in the skilled trades. This hands-on program provides real-world experience across multiple disciplines, including low voltage systems, welding, wood door repair and/or door hardware pre-installation.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in High School or College or Trade School
- Ability to communicate and work with others
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn
- Punctual and reliable
- Self-motivated
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced technicians and tradespeople on active jobs
- Use basic tools and develop foundational trade stills
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
