About The Position

The Amherst-Pelham Regional School District is seeking Summer Interns to assist with special projects related to organizational effectiveness, process improvement, and operational documentation. This temporary internship provides students and emerging professionals with the opportunity to gain experience in public sector administration, organizational systems, project management, and operational planning. Interns will work under the supervision of district administrators and will support project-based initiatives designed to improve organizational efficiency and access to information. This position is educational and project-based in nature and is not intended to replace or perform the regular duties of district clerical, administrative support, or bargaining unit employees.

Requirements

  • Current college student, recent graduate, or graduate student preferred.
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Interest in education, public administration, business administration, human resources, communications, organizational leadership, or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with drafting and organizing procedures aligned with district policies and operational practices.
  • Support administrators in gathering stakeholder feedback and incorporating recommendations into procedural documents.
  • Create and organize templates, forms, checklists, flowcharts, and guidance materials for internal use.
  • Assist with organizing and structuring documents within district shared drives and internal information systems.
  • Review existing procedures and identify opportunities for improved organization and accessibility.
  • Support special projects related to operational efficiency, onboarding resources, and administrative systems.
  • Assist with the development of reference materials, process maps, and internal resource guides.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide administrative project support as assigned.
  • Conduct research related to educational, operational, or organizational best practices.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, and recommendations related to assigned projects.
