About The Position

Total Program Management is a New York based managing general agent, TPM specializes in insurance for the healthcare industry. TPM focuses on helping our clients manage their workers compensation, providing them with the tools to help control their WC costs and provide a safer workplace for their employees. Our services include: General Agency, Wholesale, Risk Management and Consulting. Specialties: Workers Compensation for Healthcare Facilities. TPM represents 6 Insurance Carriers. Oryx Insurance Brokerage and Total Program Management are related partner agencies, each a well-established Managing General Agent with combined premium writings in excess of one hundred ninety two million. We have programs for the construction, commercial auto recovery, four walls healthcare, and home healthcare industries. The geographic spread of our programs ranges from single states, to countrywide.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of experience
• Some college (no degree)
• Professional Office Culture and Etiquette
• Commercial Insurance Coverage Overview
• Understand why information collected on applications is important and how it pertains to the insurance being offered.
• Understand transfer of risk and areas that carrier doesn’t wish to cover the risk
• Customer Service Tips and Guidelines

Responsibilities

• Candidate will gather data from company sources, to create unified reports
• Research and create a table of various state laws as they pertain to licensing and insurance
• Research and provide summary of important upcoming legislation impacting the healthcare industry
• Understand policy construction and parts
• Social media and marketing products overview and update.
