About The Position

The Stevens Institute of Technology, Division of Finance, is seeking a student intern for the Controller’s Group. This internship offers the opportunity to gain meaningful experience in Accounting, focusing on balance sheet reconciliations, month-end journal entries, and other assigned duties. The ideal candidate is an Accounting or Finance major in their first or second year of an undergraduate degree program. The intern will contribute significantly to the Division of Finance operations and learn from experienced professionals.

Requirements

• Accounting or Finance major
• In the first or second year of study
• Progressing towards an undergraduate degree

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller’s Office with the reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts
• Input accounting transactions into the general ledger system
• Assist during the year-end external audit process
• Assist on various analysis and projects as determined by the Manager of Financial Accounting and Reporting
• Assist with month-end close, including preparing journal entries in the general ledger system
• Perform special projects and analyses
• Other duties as assigned
