About The Position

Our summer internship program provides students with hands-on professional experience, networking opportunities, and access to SC&H fun while honing essential skills for early career success. For 10-weeks spanning June to August, our interns work on diverse client projects and receive guided mentorship in one of our many unique service lines. Our internship is in-person at one of our offices 4x a week with an average work week of 30-32 hours. Wealth Planning & Advisory is more than just managing investments. It begins with creating a goal-specific, time-specific plan unique to an individual or a family. Our wealth advisors take time to understand our clients’ values, needs, and goals. By focusing on what’s in our control, and balancing present-day needs with long-term objectives, we help clients create a comprehensive financial plan. This plan reflects what our clients are hoping to accomplish, considers their current resources, maps to agreed-upon goals, and implements strategies that move them towards successful outcomes. Services we offer include retirement, investment, estate, and insurance planning.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Finance or another business-related major
  • Future interest in pursuing Series 65 or 66
  • GPA of 3.6 or above
  • Previous successful business experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to produce an outstanding work product or deliverable
  • Reliable transportation to our Hunt Valley, MD location

Responsibilities

  • Assist in entering and organizing financial data into company systems and perform basic analysis on spreadsheets to support the advisory team in making data-driven decisions.
  • Help in preparing and organizing client paperwork, such as account opening documents, compliance forms, and transaction records.
  • Provide general administrative support to the wealth advisory team.
  • Assist in creating financial plans for clients and offering recommendations to be considered by the client.
