About The Position

AIG is seeking Summer Interns for the Technology department to contribute to the transformation of how customers manage risk. This program offers opportunities to learn and grow skills and experience as a valued member of the team. AIG also invests in its colleagues, recognizing them as its greatest strength. The Technology teams at AIG are crucial for managing risk, serving clients, and enabling businesses globally. They design, build, secure, and support the systems, data, and digital solutions that ensure effective operations, informed decision-making, and continuous innovation. Technology Interns will gain hands-on experience on meaningful projects supporting AIG’s business and technology priorities, with potential exposure to Business Technology, Corporate Technology, and IT Business Management. The 9-week program immerses interns in the day-to-day operations of a global insurance company, providing valuable industry knowledge, working with leaders on dynamic projects, and offering opportunities for challenges, learning, and achievement. Interns will participate in instructor-led masterclasses, hear from senior leaders, and build connections through mentoring, networking, and volunteering. Following the program, interns may be considered for roles in the location where they interned, with the Analyst program beginning in July 2028.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree to be received no later than June 2028 (unofficial transcript required upon application).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
• Available for the complete Summer Internship Program from June 7 through August 6, 2027.
• Summer Intern positions are in-person opportunities, requiring interns to work in the office at least four days per week.
• Previous internship experience is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred majors include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with or exposure to programming, scripting, data analysis, databases, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, or other relevant technology tools and platforms.
• Familiarity with programming or query languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated interest in technology, innovation, and applying technical solutions to business challenges.
• Interest in one or more areas such as software or systems engineering, data, cybersecurity, digital technology, architecture, technology project management, or technology risk and controls.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of enterprise and domain architecture roadmaps and requirements aligned with technology strategy and standards.
• Collaborate across business and Technology teams to gather requirements and support solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Gather, analyze, and model data to generate insights and support informed business decisions.
• Support the development, testing, and implementation of digital solutions that enhance the user experience across web, mobile, and other channels.
• Help develop and support solutions that protect AIG’s systems, applications, data, and stakeholders from cybersecurity threats.
• Contribute to software or systems engineering initiatives, including application development, automation, cloud, network, and infrastructure solutions.
• Support project and program execution, strategic operations, and business management initiatives across Technology.
• Assist with identifying, assessing, and managing technology risks and controls in alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
