About The Position

Allegion is seeking a Systems Engineering intern to join their Product Lifecycle Engineering organization. This internship offers the opportunity to work on solutions that enable seamless access and enhance safety and security. The program is designed for students seeking meaningful work, learning opportunities, professional development, and relationship building with peers and leaders. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and Allegion will not provide sponsorship for employment visa status.

Requirements

Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields
Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative, e.g., school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc.
Comfortable with hands-on lab work and problem solving
Ability to work in both a team and individual setting
Effective communication, time management, and creative problem-solving techniques
Sophomore year must be completed by the start of the summer internship program for undergraduate candidates
A desire to learn, grow, and develop by working on projects that will impact customers

Responsibilities

Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including system requirements, interface definitions, and system block diagrams
Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of system components and assemblies
Participate in design peer reviews and present findings to cross-functional teams
Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion
Collaborate with experienced engineers to deliver well-rounded, system-level solutions
