About The Position

The Summer Intern – Supply Chain will gain hands-on experience supporting supply chain and materials operations at StandardAero’s San Antonio facility. The intern will work alongside experienced professionals and learn how inventory, material movement, planning, and coordination support aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. This 10–12-week summer internship provides the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to operational challenges, contribute to team projects, and develop a practical understanding of supply chain processes in the aviation industry. Depending on departmental needs, assignments may involve inventory management, materials coordination, warehousing, shipping and receiving, planning, reporting, or process improvement.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and information.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple assignments.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in supply chain operations, logistics, inventory management, materials planning, or warehouse operations.
• Experience with Excel spreadsheets, data analysis, or reporting.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems, ERP systems, or other business software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• A proactive approach to learning and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily supply chain and materials activities to support operational requirements.
• Support inventory tracking, material availability checks, and maintenance of accurate inventory records.
• Help coordinate material movement between departments and work areas.
• Assist with reviewing material requests, tracking outstanding items, and communicating status updates to stakeholders.
• Support warehousing, shipping and receiving, or material handling coordination, as assigned.
• Gather, organize, and analyze operational data for reports, performance tracking, and department projects.
• Help identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, material flow, and process efficiency.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, Operations, and other teams to support business objectives.
• Participate in special projects and other assignments based on departmental priorities.
