About The Position

Our summer internship program provides students with hands-on professional experience, networking opportunities, and access to SC&H fun while honing essential skills for early career success. For 10-weeks spanning June to August, our interns work on diverse client projects and receive guided mentorship in one of our many unique service lines. Our internship is in-person at one of our offices 4x a week with an average work week of 30-32 hours. About our Special Situations Practice SC&H Capital’s Special Situations team partners with middle market companies facing challenging situations to provide indispensable insights, a proven process, and the right strategy that quickly produces a strategic solution, often in the form of a sale or financing. Our experienced investment banking team promptly and efficiently addresses immediate and unique needs associated with various and complex challenges. With over 175 years of combined senior-level experience, our team offers extensive professional expertise across most industries—including healthcare, manufacturing, consumer, business services, technology, and government contracting. Helping clients with revenues between $10 to $300MM throughout the United States (and internationally), we deliver quick and tangible results that preserve our client’s business, help it grow, and maximize recovery.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or other business-related field
  • GPA of 3.6 or above
  • Previous successful business experience; Accounting, Valuations, Finance internship preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to produce an outstanding work product or deliverable
  • Transportation may include driving, walking or other public transportation (Metra or CTA) but at your own expense.

Responsibilities

  • Perform industry research and prepare pitches for potential new clients
  • Assist with creating and editing marketing materials for active engagements
  • Work with senior bankers on a variety of ongoing deals across multiple industries
