The Communications Department is responsible for the ACLU of Alabama’s external communications strategy to advance our priority issue areas: criminal legal reform, gender justice, voting rights, and First Amendment rights. We accomplish this by working with high-impact media, launching multimedia advocacy campaigns, releasing reports and research, and running the organization’s website and digital channels. The Communications Intern will help provide support across the communications department with content capturing and production, social post preparation, and event support. This internship offers hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, event promotion, and community engagement. Interns will help promote events, support campaigns, and engage thousands of Alabamians through digital content. This 8-week internship is a great opportunity for someone interested in social media content creation, videography, copywriting, and digital storytelling.
