About The Position

The company’s modern facilities convert waste from municipalities and businesses into clean, renewable electricity. In addition, through a vast network of treatment and recycling facilities, Reworld specializes in waste to energy (“WTE”), a vital component of the modern waste stream that diverts waste from landfills and therefore avoids significant greenhouse gas emissions. As a Reworld intern, you will work on projects that have a real impact on sustainability. Students with a genuine interest in developing a career in renewable energy, sustainability, and waste to energy technology are encouraged to apply!
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.
Nice To Haves
- Positive, motivated self-starter who can take an assignment and run with it.
Responsibilities
- Safety compliance tracking and documentation control
- Assist with VPP recertification
- Support Safety Procedure requirements including medical surveillance and hearing conservation
- Assist with new hire safety orientation and required monthly safety training
- Participate in safety committee meetings and help track action items
- Trend near miss and behavior based safety data using our safety data management system (Ideagen)
