About The Position

Eden Housing is seeking a summer intern to support operational improvement projects across the organization. Working with the Director of Strategic Initiatives - Operations, the intern will help identify opportunities to streamline how teams work, improve how information is organized and accessed, and contribute to initiatives that increase efficiency and consistency across departments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to give full attention to the needs of the department and actively look for ways to assist.
• Desire and ability to learn new tools, skills, and concepts quickly.
• Passion for making processes simpler, faster, and better.
• Ability to read, interpret, and summarize technical or process-oriented content.
• Ability to write clear documentation and instructions.
• Ability to perform data analysis and identify trends or inconsistencies.
• Capacity for logical thinking and creative problem-solving.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Notion, Excel, and digital productivity tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) or workflow automation tools.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable learning and experimenting with new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Support cross-department operational improvement initiatives through data gathering, validation, and analysis.
• Evaluate emerging tools (including AI-enabled solutions) and provide recommendations to improve team effectiveness and workflows.
• Contribute to the design, testing, and rollout of automation solutions that reduce manual work and increase consistency.
• Assist in building and maintaining scalable internal knowledge systems (e.g., Notion dashboards, pages, and templates).
• Partner with stakeholders across teams to identify opportunities to streamline communication, documentation, and information access.
• Develop clear, reusable documentation and standards to support adoption and sustainability of new tools and processes.
• Support additional operational and strategic initiatives, as needed, to advance departmental and organizational goals.
