About The Position

Bristol Myers Squibb’s Drug Product Development organization works across the pharmaceutical development process, from discovery through commercial launch and beyond, developing formulations and processes for clinical and commercial drug products. This approximately 10-week summer internship is a guided research project exploring the feasibility of material characterization techniques, including vibrational spectroscopy (Raman, NIR, and IR), X-ray diffraction, and imaging tools. Interns will develop product characterization methods, troubleshoot characterization methodologies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support drug product formulation development and manufacturing processes. The program provides industry and functional experience through challenging assignments, company and organizational introductions, exposure to senior leaders, hands-on training in pharmaceutical manufacturing areas and testing laboratories, a mentor program, formal feedback sessions, and a final presentation. The position is based in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and runs from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027. The internship is temporary and does not guarantee continued or permanent employment after the program.
