About The Position

Schnucks’ Summer Intern Program is an immersive corporate and in the field internship based in our St. Louis, Missouri headquarters. Interns gain real-world experience in their designated department, and collaborate on a cross-functional, inter-disciplinary group project to present at the end of the summer. These are paid internships that require full-time attendance 6/1/2026 through 8/7/2026. The 2026 Operation Excellence Summer Internship supports multiple projects for our Store Operations team, focused on efficiency and productivity improvement. This role offers practical experience in multiple functions and an introduction to the company and culture at Schnucks. This role requires a minimum of 4 days in the office and/or in the field, with possible 1 day remote, and is located in St Louis, Missouri.

Requirements

  • Current and Fall 2026 enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, and completed at least 30 credit hours.
  • Available to work full-time Monday through Friday 6/1/26 – 8/7/26.
  • Motivated to learn and detail oriented.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficient in Google and Microsoft applications, with strong analytical skills in Excel or other data analysis tools.
  • Must be able to work remotely if necessary.
  • Displays values consistent with Schnucks’ COMET culture.
  • Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
  • Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
  • Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
  • If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in scheduled OEM (store) visits
  • Help document finding, photos, and follow up opportunities
  • Tracking & Reporting: Maintaining visit schedules and planning tools, updating trackers in Google Sheets, and assisting with trend reporting and audit score rollups.
  • Identifying recurring themes or repeat opportunities across stores
  • Help maintain visit schedules and planning tools
  • Support Focus Store or special initiative execution
  • Assist with testing new templates and tools
  • Participate in basic continuous improvement discussions
  • Conduct time studies on OEM workload and processes
  • Cross-functional group project collaborating with other interns
