About The Position

The ODP Group’s Summer Internship Program is designed to give aspiring professionals meaningful hands-on experience, dedicated mentorship, and opportunities for skill development. It is a fully immersive program built around several core components, including partnering with business leaders on functional work and projects, leadership roundtables and development workshops, networking opportunities, and a live presentation to a panel of leaders across the organization. Key Program Details: The program runs for 10 weeks from June 1st through August 7th Interns will be expected to work onsite 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) for the duration of the program Location: 6600 North Military Trail. Boca Raton, FL The Merchandising Intern supports the Commercial Print and Technology team by assisting with day-to-day projects, reporting, and operational tasks. The intern will run recurring and ad-hoc reports, help monitor and track orders, and partner with suppliers to ensure service expectations are met. They will analyze category performance and assortment opportunities to support optimization of products, promotions, and sales-driving activities. The role is highly collaborative, involving cross-functional work with teams such as Finance, Marketing, and Operations, as well as interaction with internal stakeholders and external partners. The ideal candidate is a currently enrolled Bachelor’s or Master’s student with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, etc.) at an accredited university.
  • No prior professional experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and collaboration tools (e.g., Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn and self-teach new skills.
  • Fearlessly curious – challenging the status quo by looking at solutions in unconventional ways and seeing opportunities to innovate.
  • Strong sense of business acumen.
  • Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week during the entire length of the program.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills in English
  • Experience working with data in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v‑lookups, basic charts) or similar tools to analyze trends and summarize findings.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship, co-op, part-time, or project experience is a plus.
  • Relevant coursework and academic projects that demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating on team-based projects or presentations, especially where you supported cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., marketing, sales, operations), is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support day to day projects and operational tasks – Assist with projects and daily activities within the assigned business area (e.g., data updates, status tracking, coordination) to ensure timely and accurate completion of team priorities.
  • Conduct research and prepare analytical materials – Gather information, analyze data, and compile findings into clear summaries, reports, or presentations to support decision making and project planning.
  • Participate in team and cross‑functional meetings – Attend team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews; capture notes, follow‑up items, and contribute ideas to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners – Work with colleagues in other departments (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Operations) to support ongoing initiatives, share information, and help drive alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Document and improve processes – Help document workflows, update trackers and dashboards (e.g., Excel, project management tools), and maintain accurate records to improve transparency, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Deliver an end‑of‑internship project or presentation – Synthesize key learnings, project contributions, and recommendations into a final presentation or recap to share outcomes and insights with the team and leadership.
  • Support print and technology reporting and vendor engagement – Run recurring and ad‑hoc, monitor order status and service levels, and partner with suppliers to help resolve issues and ensure orders are fulfilled as expected.
  • Analyze category performance and assortment opportunities – Review sales, margin, and customer usage trends to identify gaps, underperforming items, and new opportunities to optimize assortment, promotions, and customer offers.
  • Support sales enablement – Assist in developing and maintaining sales tools and materials (e.g., product one‑pagers, program overviews, basic customer-facing content) and help respond to category-related inquiries from the sales organization to enable effective customer conversations.
