The 2026 US Internship Program offers meaningful roles designed to prepare interns for their future careers. Opportunities are available in three streams: Science, Operations, and Support Functions. The program is a 10-12 week internship at various Johnson Matthey locations across the United States. Each placement aims to promote team building, develop presentation and personal skills, and enhance technical skillsets. The program is robust and challenging, ideal for individuals passionate about pushing their comfort zones. Interns will receive mentoring, coaching, and expert career advice, and will participate in workshops designed to build critical skills for future leaders.

Requirements

  • Working towards a BS in Finance, Supply Chain, Economics or related field (for Support Functions Stream)
  • Working towards a BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field (for Operations Stream)
  • Working towards a BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related field (for Science Stream)
  • Minimum Overall GPA of 2.7 required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • A true career aspiration to be a leader
  • Must be adaptable, strive for excellence, and demonstrate a positive attitude in the face of adversity
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills essential
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
