As an Allegion mechanical engineer intern, you will contribute meaningful work and make a direct impact to the Mechanical Engineering Competency. You will gain valuable experience in product design, testing and design process for development of commercial products. You will be part of an engaged engineering team that supports manufacturing, an on-site test lab and regularly interfaces with cross functional departments. The key responsibilities of this position are abilities to translate customer needs into specification, solve problems related to the design communicate and work well with others. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. Mechanical Engineering.
  • Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly.
  • An inquisitive nature that seeks to understand concepts and principles about software and the Allegion business practices.
  • Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques.
  • A desire to learn, grow and develop by working on projects that will impact Allegion’s business and customers.
  • Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
