About The Position

RGA’s Private Debt & Equity group originates, underwrites, and invests in direct debt and equity co-investments alongside strategic private equity fund partners. The group invests in lower- to middle-market companies, typically with EBITDA ranging from $10 million to $50 million or more, and provides financing for leveraged buyouts and other capital-raising activities.

This internship provides exposure to roles and responsibilities within an insurance company’s investments department and to the analysis, systems, people, and practices of the Private Debt & Equity group. The intern will support deal memo preparation, monitoring of current investments, and analysis of the performance of RGA’s private debt and equity portfolio. The opportunity also gives RGA Investments a chance to identify early candidates for its growing department.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an MBA program and graduating between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Creative thinker and self-motivated.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred work experience in private equity, lending, investment banking, or corporate credit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the private debt and equity team with deal preparation and analysis.
• Participate in portfolio analysis, including tasks involving Private Debt & Equity systems.
• Assist the private debt and equity team with pipeline management and maintenance.
• Work on portfolio reporting projects as needed.
• Develop knowledge of private debt and equity underwriting and analysis.
• Work on other cross-functional projects as time permits.
