Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Must be able to begin full time employment from a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028
  • Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027)
  • Minimum 3.3 cumulative collegiate grade point average, on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent, at an accredited 4-year college or university
  • Are business proficient in English
  • Adopt a team-based approach, communicate effectively, collaborate on key projects, and deliver individual work within expected timelines, all while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Possess a growth mindset by problem-solving, being curious about the role, and thinking creatively about how to contribute to the success of the broader business.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investments through relevant coursework, certifications, internship/work experience and/or participation in professional organizations & campus clubs.
  • Articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate the ability to conduct research and analyze complex data to identify trends and draw meaningful insights; some proficiency in financial modeling is a plus.
  • Possess a solid foundation in finance and economics, along with familiarity with financial statements and basic investment concepts.
  • Possess the ability to develop client relationships into strategic partnerships and have an interest in a client facing finance career.
  • Demonstrate high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and experience in using new emerging technologies and AI tools in your work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes

Nice To Haves

  • Due to the technical nature of this role, all full-time members of Strategic Accounts must pass FINRA series exams.
  • In addition, some members have furthered their credentials through an MBA and/or participation in the chartered financial analyst progrom through the CFA institute.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting research on market trends, competitor offerings, economic indicators, and investment products to support the broader team’s ability to differentiate PIMCO’s solutions for clients.
  • Using data analytics tools to analyze client portfolios, investment performance, and market data to service existing clients and support internal strategic decision-making.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of client business plans in collaboration with GWM stakeholders, including sales and product strategy teams.
