The 2027 Summer Internship in Global Wealth Management (GWM), Private Client Group Analyst is a 10-week program running from early June to mid-August. Positions are located in PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CA Headquarters, Austin, Texas, or New York, NY. The internship includes PIMCO Fundamentals Training, participation in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering, and various cross-divisional educational, networking, and social events. Interns receive guidance and mentorship from supervisors, peer mentors, senior leaders, and their teams. The program emphasizes hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, with training and resources to build future-ready skills. Formal mid- and end-of-summer reviews provide feedback to help interns meet their goals. Interns receive competitive compensation and a transition bonus to assist with relocation.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree.
  • Must be able to begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028.
  • Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027).
  • A minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university.
  • Business proficiency in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance, demonstrated through relevant coursework, certifications, internship/work experience, and/or professional organization & campus club participation.
  • Solid foundation in finance and economics, and familiarity with financial statements and basic investment concepts.
  • Ability to articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop client relationships into strategic partnerships; interest in a client-facing career within Finance.
  • Personable, ethical, collaborative, organized, adaptable, problem-solver, self-starter, accountable.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle several projects, delivering completed work within the expected timeline while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel is recommended.
  • Curiosity and experience in using new emerging technologies and AI tools in work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Account Managers with client-specific projects, team-wide initiatives, RFPs, and customized due diligence requests.
  • Performing research on market trends relevant to client objectives to assist in the analysis and monitoring of client portfolios.
