About The Position

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a Summer Intern for the Enterprise Quality Governance & Transformation role. This 12-week seasonal internship, running during the summer of 2027, is designed for students eager to learn and apply critical thinking to complex problems within the financial services industry. Interns will contribute to meaningful projects, utilizing their skills to address real business challenges. The OCC Internship Program aims to equip students with the practical skills necessary for a successful career in financial services. This role is part of the ETSQA team, which ensures the quality of Enterprise Technology Solutions applications and compliance across Ovation Testing teams. The intern will focus on creating automation scripts for quality verification of ETS applications and conducting compliance checks for the Ovation Testing Process and Artifacts.

Requirements

Rising senior or second-year graduate student, graduating December 2027 or May/August 2028.
Desired Majors: Computer Science or Equivalent.
Any programming language (Java/Python).
AI Tools (Claude Chat, Claude Code).
Knowledge or aptitude for quality.
Good communication skills.
Team Player.

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and create detailed test cases for validating business functions.
Identify test cases for automation and create a manual regression test suite.
Execute test cases in a test management tool and report defects.
Automate manual regression test cases using the agreed-upon automation framework.
Write clear and precise defect reports for identified software defects based on testing results.
Attend daily scrum stand-ups and report testing issues.
Provide key inputs during retrospective meetings.
