About The Position

Vaxcyte's Summer Internship program provides students with an opportunity to gain valuable work experience that complements their college curriculum. As an Accounting Intern, the individual will work on a project that involves supporting financial analysis and accounting activities, conducting research and benchmarking on finance and accounting tools (including AI-enabled solutions), and assisting with maintaining financial documentation. The intern will learn and practice core accounting and finance processes in a regulated environment, apply AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency and decision-making, and develop effective communication skills for financial insights.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (enrolled student with at least 1 year at university completed) with a focus on Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and work quality.
• Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for financial analysis and accounting activities, including variance analysis, manufacturing accounting, SOX compliance, and preparation of financial statements.
• Conduct research and benchmarking on finance and accounting tools, including AI-enabled solutions, to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced reporting.
• Assist with maintaining and updating financial documentation, including process flows, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, and internal controls documentation.
• Leverage AI an advanced Excel tools to improve data analysis, reporting efficiency, and accuracy while adhering to company policies and controls.
