About The Position

The Summer Housing Assistant at Chapman Grand is a student leadership role focused on ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive residential experience for summer residents. This role involves working closely with Residence Life staff to manage community operations, address resident concerns, and provide on-call support during the summer housing period.

Requirements

  • Must have previously served as a Resident Advisor (RA)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the Summer Housing Assistant on-call rotation and respond to resident concerns, lockouts, facility issues, and other operational needs during assigned shifts.
  • Conduct routine building walks, room checks, and occupancy verifications to support the safety, security, and maintenance of the residential community.
  • Assist residents by providing information regarding housing processes, community expectations, and available campus resources.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, facility concerns, and resident interactions while adhering to departmental procedures and timelines.
  • Support the overall operation of Chapman Grand by communicating building concerns, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating with Residence Life staff to ensure a positive summer housing experience.
