About The Position

This classification covers general laboring duties. It covers such areas as wheeling chips, transporting parts and material, general storage and stocking, hauling sand, general clean up, landscaping, cleaning, and painting. May also perform other miscellaneous work. Particular attention must be made to safety consciousness. Routine physical and repetitive work following established procedures and instructions.

Requirements

Able to understand and follow instructions
Normal high school equivalent
One (1) to three (3) months of physical labor
Follow established practice and clear-cut policy in performing majority of duties
Initiative necessary to successfully perform functional responsibilities
Refer unusual problems to supervisor
Frequently walk or hear
Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
Reach with hands and arms
Climb or balance
Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred (50) pounds
Close vision
Distance vision
Color vision
Peripheral vision
Depth perception
Ability to adjust focus
