About The Position

This is a summer position from June to August 2026 in the Facilities Department. The primary responsibility is the maintenance and care of District buildings and grounds in a professional manner. The role involves various hands-on tasks related to building upkeep and groundskeeping.

Requirements

High school diploma and/or specialized training
Previous experience in building and ground maintenance
Ability to work with fellow staff members and supervisors.
Ability to complete work in a professional and timely fashion.

Responsibilities

Painting (both interior and exterior)
Roofing (patching and cleaning)
Demolition Work (both interior and exterior)
Irrigation repairs, installations, setting water
Weeding (both by hand and with a weed eater)
Mowing (both push and self-propelled)
Handyman as needed: electrical, plumbing, locker, and ceiling repairs
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Be on feet for an 8-hour shift
Climb and descend ladders up to 30 feet
Lift 100 lbs. occasionally, and up to 50 lbs. frequently.
Operate power equipment: hand tools, lawnmowers, weed eaters, etc.
Perform minor electrical repairs on ballasts, switches, outlets, etc and make minor repair to waterlines and plumbing
