Summer Engineering Internship (2026)
About The Position
Marathon Electric is seeking motivated and driven engineering students to join our Engineering Internship Program. This hands-on internship provides real-world experience in a manufacturing environment, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge to meaningful projects that impact our business. We are currently hiring for Quality Engineering Intern, Mechanical Engineering Intern, Manufacturing Engineering Intern, and Product Management Intern positions. Throughout the summer, interns will work closely with experienced professionals and cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to our products, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. At the conclusion of the program, each intern will present a capstone project showcasing their contributions and learnings.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
- Rising sophomore, junior, or senior preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Support engineering or product-related projects within manufacturing, operations, or product development
- Assist with process improvements, data analysis, and problem-solving initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and supply chain
- Participate in continuous improvement activities (lean manufacturing, efficiency gains, etc.)
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making
- Present findings and recommendations as part of a final capstone project
