Engineering Internship (Fall 2026)
About The Position
NapaSan provides wastewater collection and treatment services to the residents and businesses in the City of Napa and surrounding vicinity. NapaSan strives to recover resources from the wastewater stream by producing recycled water, beneficially reusing biosolids, and creating green energy on-site to power the wastewater treatment process. At NapaSan, engineers are involved in projects from initial conception through evaluation of alternatives, design, procurement, construction, and operation. NapaSan is a medium-size agency, and engineers are involved in a wide-range of projects and solutions requiring creativity and innovation. NapaSan’s engineers truly make a positive impact on the agency, community, and the wastewater industry.
Requirements
- Competency working with computers and willingness to learn new applications
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Desire to learn skills that can help lead to a future career in engineering
- College student with engineering major and/or engineering-related coursework
Responsibilities
- Work on real engineering projects alongside licensed professional engineers
- Gain experience with GIS and AutoCAD software
- Learn to read plans, maps, and standard specifications
- Develop skills in teamwork and building workplace relationships
- Participate in wastewater treatment plant and construction site visits
